Privacy Policy Heart Farming

Heart Farming is developed by Therese Kristoffer Publishing. We know that privacy and security is important to our users and this Privacy Policy will help you understand what information we collect, why we need it, and what we do with it. By using Heart Farming you agree to this policy.

User data and data collection
Heart Farming is developed as part of a reserach study and as such will collect data about users use of the app and behaviour for the reserach purposes.

This data is collected over the internet to a server using encrypted messages over HTTPS using an gerenated random postal number that identifies the current game instance but in now way the user or the users device. Thus, there is no connection to the individual or the users device stored. This also means that if a user completly deletes the app, a new postal number is genreated and the relation between the two datasets are lost.

In the research study, study participants are asked to willingly disclose their Heart Farming postal number and this is how we associate app data with other data about particular subjects in the reserach study.

Sharing and Communicaiton
The app includes sharing game content such as carrots, sending emojies like smilies, and sharing game settings via the postal service. This means players can share happy faces, carrots and speeds with each other but only if they themselves willingly disclose their postal number. The postal numbers of the most active players will be presented in the app daily. This means that a happy smile or extra game content can be sent by anyone to these postal numbers.

Analytics
To improve Heart Farming we may collect usage statistics, such as the number of users, how often they play, and what they do in the app. This will include daily physical movement in terms of meters, but in no way associated with a location. This data is collected via a server using encrypted communication via HTTPS and all data collected are collected anonymously. We don't collect data about which device a user uses but we may collect data about which type of phone is used and what operating system and what technichal abilites the phones have.

Crash Logs
We do our best to find and fix software bugs before publishing new versions of the app. But, bugs may cause the Heart Farming app to crash. If this happens the app may send a crash log to help us find and fix the bug! Heart Farming may use external services like Google Crashlytics to collect crash logs. We only use secure and GDPR-compliant services for that.

Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are younger than 18, then your parent or legal guardian must read and accept this Privacy Policy on your behalf.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes are effective immediately on publishing and you are advised to review this page periodically.
